What Time Does ‘Reacher’ Season 4 Episode 8 Come Out?
Reacher Season 4 comes to an end this week on Prime Video, following last week’s chaotic penultimate episode . Reacher and his ragtag gang of vigilantes have one last battle ahead of them as the season’s increasingly convoluted conspiracy finally comes to a head. Here’s when the Season 4 finale arrives, what to expect from Episode 8 and what’s next for Reacher — including the new Neagley spinoff, which premieres the very same day.

What Is Reacher Season 4, Episode 8 About?
The Season 4 finale is titled “Cut” and picks up after the explosive events of “Vote For Sampson.” Reacher, Tamara and Jacob finally uncovered the truth behind the conspiracy and the chemical weapon at its center, but their problems are far from over. Congressman Sampson sacrificed himself at the Penn’s Landing fundraiser, tackling the bomber into the Delaware River, while Lila and Amisha remain at large.
In the finale, Reacher, Tamara and Jacob go on the offensive as the full scope of the conspiracy comes into focus. Reacher appears headed for a final confrontation with the people responsible for Anna’s death, while Jacob still has some difficult truths to reckon with. There’s also unfinished business involving Plum and, of course, the Hoth sisters, setting the stage for what should be a much more action-heavy conclusion to the season. We’ll also learn the fate of Sampson, though I suspect we know the answer. RIP GOAT.
At 58 minutes, “Cut” is considerably longer than last week’s 43-minute episode and by far the longest of the season, giving the finale plenty of time to tie up Season 4’s many loose ends. Given just how convoluted this story has become, it certainly needs it.
Is Episode 8 The Reacher Season 4 Finale?
Yes, the fourth season draws to a close with this week’s episode, though fans of this universe will be able to dive headfirst into the entire first season of the Neagley spinoff series.
Production for Reacher Season 5 is already underway, though no release date for the fifth season has been announced. Season 5 will adapt Lee Child’s Make Me . The spinoff series, Neagley , drops all eight episodes on September 16, the same day as the Reacher Season 4 finale.
I’ll update this guide if Prime Video changes the schedule. Check back Wednesday here on this blog for my review of the finale, and subscribe to my YouTube channel where I’ll have more discussions of the current Season up soon as well.
What’s Next For Reacher After Season 4?
Reacher has already been renewed for Season 5 and production is underway, with Alan Ritchson returning as Jack Reacher. The next season will adapt Lee Child’s 2015 novel Make Me , which begins when Reacher gets off a train in the strangely named town of Mother’s Rest and meets private investigator Michelle Chang. The two join forces to investigate a missing person and uncover yet another deadly conspiracy.
Amanda Ip will play Michelle Chang, with Jay Baruchel joining the cast as Chief Buck Bauer, Kevin Durand as Nokes and Ciara Bravo as Eunice. Baruchel was originally cast in Season 4 before dropping out for personal reasons, with Christopher Marquette replacing him as Jacob Merrick, so it’s interesting to see him return to the project in a different role.. Prime Video has not announced an official Season 5 release date yet.
As a side-note: I can’t drum up any enthusiasm for Season 5 with the current creators and writing team still behind the scenes. Like Rings Of Power, if Amazon wants this to be a success, the time to clean house and start fresh is now.
Of course, long before all that we get the new spinoff, Neagley.
The Reacher universe expands this week with Neagley , a new spinoff starring Maria Sten as Frances Neagley, Reacher’s former colleague in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit. Now working as a private investigator in Chicago, Neagley is pulled into a new mystery when a close friend from her past dies in what appears to be a suspicious accident. Her search for answers sends her down a dangerous path as she puts the investigative and combat skills she learned in the military to use.
All eight episodes of Neagley arrive on Prime Video Wednesday, September 16, immediately following the Reacher Season 4 finale. Alan Ritchson will also guest star as Jack Reacher. The supporting cast includes Greyston Holt, Adeline Rudolph, Jasper Jones, Matthew Del Negro and Damon Herriman. Reacher showrunner Nick Santora created the series alongside Nicholas Wootton.
I’ve called this spinoff a bad idea in the past , because I don’t think Neagley is a strong enough or popular enough character to lead her own show. But I’ll happily eat my words if this is good.
Is Reacher Season 4 Worth Watching?
We’ve come to the end of Reacher Season 4, so if you’re still watching you might as well finish. I admit, after seven episodes I no longer feel like there’s much reason to continue watching this show after Season 4 unless some major changes to the writing team take place by Season 5.
See what else is streaming in my latest TV and movie streaming guide right here :
The story so far has been a mess, with too many factions, unlikable sidekicks, lame villains and a conspiracy mystery that’s all over the map. Last week’s episode had Reacher acting totally out of character, and the show has replaced the intelligent, “Sherlock Holmes with biceps” protagonist with a hulking dummy.
It’s a real shame, but I can no longer recommend this show. There are too many other great crime shows out there to watch to waste your time on this lazy, low-tier nonsense.
Who Is In The Cast Of Reacher Season 4?
As with every season of Reacher, most of the cast is brand new. Reacher is the ultimate hobo hero, traveling from one town to another, getting mixed up in one conflict after another usually with a new – and attractive – love interest. Here’s the main cast for Season 4:
- Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher
- Sydelle Noel as Tamara Green, a detective in the Philadelphia Police Department
- Christopher Marquette as Jacob “Jake” Merrick, a small-town police officer
- Agnez Mo as Lila Hoth
- Anggun as Amisha Hoth
- Kevin Corrigan as Detective Shaun Docherty, Tamara’s partner
- Kevin Weisman as Russell Plum, a freelance journalist
- Marc Blucas as Congressman John Sampson
- Kathleen Robertson as Elspeth Sampson, John’s wife
- Aaron Poole as Springfield
