October Launch For WiiM Soundbar With Control4 And Roon-Ready Status
WiiM has confirmed that its first-ever soundbar will go on sale from mid-October 2026. Ahead of the WiiM Bar’s launch, several key upgrades have already been announced, including Control4 support and Roon Ready status.
Featuring a true 3.0.2 Dolby Atmos configuration powered by a custom eight-driver array, the WiiM Bar has a circular 2.1-inch touch display. The soundbar can be expanded wirelessly into a full 5.1.2 surround system and is designed to deliver cinematic immersion as well as audiophile-grade music performance.
As more people rely on soundbars for playing music as well as enhancing TV audio, the new WiiM Bar has a Music Mode that harnesses the soundbar’s eight custom-designed drivers, four passive radiators, as well as dedicated left, center, right, and height channels in purpose-built acoustic enclosures. Users can listen to 24-bit/192 kHz Hi-Res audio with gapless playback, RoomFit room correction, plus customizable 10-band GEQ and PEQ for a personalized sound.
“The WiiM Bar reflects how people use their living rooms today — for movies, TV, gaming, and increasingly, music,” says Dr. Lifeng Zhao, WiiM’s CEO. “As we move closer to release, we continue to refine the experience and add capabilities such as Control4 support and Roon Ready status. Source-specific EQ is applied automatically as inputs change, making it easy to move from cinematic entertainment to music listening, while Dolby Atmos performance and an expandable architecture make the Bar a powerful and flexible home theatre solution.”
The latest upgrades mean the WiiM Bar is suitable for use in connected homes with Control4 supporting integration into compatible smart-home environments, while Roon Ready status gives Roon users a seamless way to bring their music libraries and listening experience to the WiiM Bar.
The WiiM Bar features top-firing height channels giving a true sense of overhead sound, while RoomFit auto-correction tailors the soundbar’s output to suit the room it’s used in. The WiiM Bar can also become part of a wider WiiM Ecosystem with multi-room grouping advanced EQ and access to more than 20 streaming services. Everything can be controlled using the WiiM Home App, the touch display, voice assistant or supplied remote control.
The WiiM Bar is designed to integrate with the WiiM Home App, which gives users full control over their audio across devices and rooms around the home. From streaming on favourite platforms and managing EQ settings to grouping speakers and amplifiers or adjusting sound modes, everything can be accessed through the app’s simple interface.
