‘Xenoblade Genesis’ Is Out Next Year For Switch 2
Yet another installment in the Xenoblade series will be released next year for Switch 2, and the prior games are also getting Switch 2 upgrade packs.
Entitled Xenoblade Genesis , it takes a seemingly older approach to the various weapons and combat available to the player, with the game world being inside what looks to be a giant sphere.
The name Genesis also implies that this could be a narrative prequel to the other games, which would be an interesting route to take.
The game also looks stunning on the Switch 2. The world looks even more lush and expansive than earlier games in the series, which is no mean feat.
In addition to a new Xenoblade game, we also have Switch 2 upgrade packs on the way for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and 3 , with the original Xenoblade Chronicles getting the upgrade pack today (shown above)
Having played the latter, it does look a lot better than the Switch version, but not everyone shares my appraisal . With the lackluster Switch 2 upgrade for Xenoblade Chronicles X , some people were hoping for more with these Switch 2 versions.
Personally, I’ve been really happy with all the various Switch 2 upgrades across various games, with the Xenoblade series being part of that, obviously, but I am clearly in a minority.
In any case, with Xenoblade Genesis on the way next year (shown below), Xenoblade fans have a lot to look forward to.
