WWE and TKO are proceeding with their biannual Saudi partnership, shifting WWE Crown Jewel 2026 to the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. Despite persistent controversy surrounding WWE's alignment with Saudi Arabia, the Premium Live Event—currently locked in for November 7—faces intense scrutiny following recent missile strikes in Riyadh amid the Iran War.

Official Venue Announcement

“We would like to inform you that ‘WWE Crown Jewel’ has been moved to a new venue. All ticket holders will receive a full refund, and tickets will be re-released to everyone within the next 48 hours,” read a post from the official Riyadh Season account.

Financial Stakes and Regional Security Concerns

The event was originally slated for the Riyadh Season Stadium within the King Abdullah Financial District. These operational pivots occur as Middle Eastern geopolitical tensions surge during a high-stakes PLE window. Each Saudi-hosted WWE showcase generates roughly $50 million, while their Riyadh Royal Rumble debut earlier in the year yielded an estimated $100 million.

Internally, WWE is still charting a course to bring WrestleMania 43 to Riyadh. While an official date remains unannounced, estimates project that WWE's inaugural international WrestleMania in 2027 could rake in between $100 million and $200 million.

Meanwhile, TKO sibling promotion UFC successfully executed UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi without incident. Although the U.S. Embassy maintains a Level 3 Travel Advisory (Reconsider Travel) and recently directed diplomats to evacuate Saudi Arabia, UFC President Dana White remains confident regarding the upcoming UFC: Saudi Arabia event on December 5.

“I can tell you, never have I been over here where I felt unsafe and felt that my staff were unsafe,” White stated. “Everything here is done so professionally. During COVID, we had the only real bubble that existed in the world... When you watch the news, the news is so full of shit. Every time I’ve come here, anywhere in the Middle East, I’ve had nothing but a good experience.”

“Listen, I can’t tell other sporting events what to do,” White added. “That’s their business. We go. We go. When we have a deal, we have a contract, we have a date, we’ll be there.”

TKO Chief Executive Officer Ari Emanuel expressed parallel confidence during a media appearance on Fox News.
