Vectorial Secures $3M to Predict Consumer Reactions With AI
Imagine evaluating how your audience will respond to a brand-new release before it even hits the market. San Francisco-based enterprise Vectorial claims this is entirely possible through its human behavior simulation platform, engineered to test upcoming offerings or refine existing ones ahead of public deployment.
The Brains Behind the Breakthrough
Announcing a fresh $3 million seed funding round, Vectorial was conceived by three innovators specializing in artificial intelligence development, market research, and behavioral science. Co-founders Taranveer Singh, Jasmine Kaur, and Rahul Garg designed the platform specifically for developers of consumer software and digital experiences, aiming to drastically elevate product launch success rates.
Building products in this market with AI has become incredibly fast, but getting any kind of consumer feedback is still pretty slow. As a result, companies are very often launching products without having done the necessary market research, or after doing a tiny amount of research with a handful of users. - Taranveer Singh, CEO
How the SAPIENS Model Operates
To tackle this bottleneck, Vectorial engineered a proprietary behavior model named SAPIENS. This system continuously processes shifting socio-demographic, psychographic, and behavioral metrics from consumers. Businesses utilize this simulation framework to test prototype software, map out planned product journeys, evaluate campaign designs, or trial AI agents before production begins, allowing teams to polish their concepts beforehand.
- Accelerates testing and iteration far beyond conventional research methods.
- Grounded in public, enterprise, and proprietary datasets.
- Enables up to 40 times more pre-launch research at a lower overall cost.
“It’s game-changing,” maintains Singh. “We give you an on-demand population of your target customer so that you go deep into user research any time you want; we can run simulations that navigate the entire product or watch the whole campaign, and then tell you what consumers’ perception is.”
Accuracy and Real-World Adoption
The critical question remains whether the simulation gets it right. Vectorial expresses strong confidence, citing internal studies indicating that SAPIENS achieves roughly 87% accuracy in published research benchmarks, significantly outperforming generic large language models which generally stall between 51% and 56% accuracy.
These figures are translating into commercial traction. The enterprise has already secured active clients and tracks toward surpassing $1 million in annual recurring revenue shortly.
It helps us make better decisions about where to deploy our resources, without relying solely on the instincts of a few experienced people interpreting feedback from a small handful of players. - David Nixon, VP at Concrete Software
Supreet Pal Singh, CTO of wellness firm Everkind, echoes that sentiment: “A conversation that works for one person may land very differently for a first responder coming off shift or a parent running on no sleep. Vectorial lets us simulate those real-world differences end to end, extending our evaluation across diverse human behaviors before an update ever reaches a real user.”
Navigating Market Competition
Vectorial is not alone in this emerging sector. Competitors such as Simile and Aaru have also secured substantial funding rounds, pushing their respective valuations past the $1 billion threshold.
Even so, Singh and his team emphasize that Vectorial's edge lies in its hyper-focus on specific product features, contrasting with competitors that lean toward broader, upstream strategies concerning market entry and initial product conception.
Backing From Industry Leaders
Investors clearly see distinctive value in Vectorial's approach. The seed financing includes contributions from institutional backers and industry leaders such as Smilegate, UC Berkeley, SenseAI Ventures, and two funds led by Stanford, alongside prominent product leaders from Mastercard, Shopify, and Meta.
Building software has evolved to light-speed but understanding user needs remains painfully slow. Vectorial replaces the slow theater of surveys with millions of simulated humans using the product and providing insights; this is a new class of AI to predict human behavior. - Rahul Agarwalla, Managing Partner at SenseAI Ventures
