This fight was all action, but it was a messy brawl that did not show what one would call top-notch heavyweight MMA. In the end, Despaigne outlasted Tuivasa with better striking and some uncharacteristic, but timely takedowns.

Tuivasa has now lost an unbelievable eight fights in row.

Michael Aswell Jr. def. Joo Sang Yoo via Split Decision (29-28x2, 28-29)

Michael Aswell Jr’s pressure and approach led to a close but just unanimous-decision victory over Joo Sang Yoo. It was a strong performance that keeps the 25-year-old in the mix to remain a fighter battling toward a ranking.

Ryan Gandra def. Ozzy Diaz via First-Round TKO

Ryan Gandra continues to dominate in the UFC. He just secured his latest first-round finish as he smashed Ozzy Diaz in the first round.

He earned a contract on Dana White Contender Series in August 2025 with a first-round KO and has followed that up with three more. Gandra called out Israel Adesanya during his post-fight interview. That might be a bit premature, but he is a dangerous up-and-comer.

Edmen Shabahyzan def. Bruno Ferreira via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28x2)

The keys to this one were leg kicks and length. Edmen Shahbazyan attacked Bruno Ferreira’s legs early and often and he used his length to pick the Brazilian apart en route to an easy unanimous-decision win.

Giga Chikadze was doing well early in the fight. His kickboxing skills seemed to be giving Joanderson Brito some issues. Unfortunately for Chikadze, he slipped on a head kick attempt and went to the canvas. Brito took advantage and battered Chikadze with hammer fists to force the stoppage.

Chikadze has lost four in a row and he could be in danger of losing his roster spot.
