Looking for help with today’s Wordle? In this guide, we have some extra hints and clues to help you on your path to Wordle victory, plus a fun Bonus Wordle to solve while you’re at it. The answer is below as well, plus some Wordle Bot analysis and plenty more.

It’s 2XP Friday, Wordlers, so be sure to double your points, whether you gained or lost them today (if, that is, you’re playing Competitive Wordle). It’s almost time for the weekend. I’m doing a short trip this weekend to a yoga festival, so that’s fun. Out of this cold, autumnal mountain weather and into some sunny sunshine.

Hints not enough, or curious to see if you did better than me on today’s Wordle? You can find the answer and read my Wordle Bot analysis and check out the current Competitive Wordle score between me, your humble Wordle guide, and the Wordle Bot below!

“Shady” comes from shade+ the adjectival suffix -y, originally meaning “full of shade” or “sheltered from sunlight.” Shade derives from Old English sceadu, meaning “shadow” or “darkness,” from a Germanic root. The figurative meaning of suspicious, dishonest, or disreputable developed in the 19th century, drawing on the association between darkness and secrecy or concealment.

Today’s Wordle Bot Analysis

Every day I check Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordle score with Wordle Bot right here .

I got lucky and then lucky again. SNARE left me with just 31 words and THICK cut that down to three. I only came up with two: SHALL and SHADY and I almost never pick double letter words. If I’d come up with the third — SHAWL — I probably still would have picked SHADY because it made me think of the above Eminem song. But maybe I’d have picked SHAWL. Who can say?

For the third day in a row, I get 1 point for guessing in three and another for beating the Bot. The Bot gets 0 points for guessing in four and -1 for losing to me. Our October scores widen yet again:

Today’s Bonus Custom Wordle is 5 letters long.

  • The hint : Similar to yesterday’s Custom Wordle. Also the name of a spy.
