Hey there, Connectors! The weekend is almost here. It’s right there. So close you could almost taste it. But, before Saturday hits us, we’ve got one more Connections conundrum to solve to keep our streaks going.

Over the next few days, it’s going to be one of the busiest, but most enjoyable spells of the year at work. Lots and lots of video game stuff through Sunday, before Apple’s annual developer conference on Monday. Two of the three pillars of what I do for a living (this is the third one!).

I’m not complaining. I’m very, very fortunate to have steady work that I enjoy in the current landscape.

Just do me a favor and forgive me if my words are less coherent than usual next week, please. I’m already looking forward to next weekend.

Today’s Connections answers are...

The blues became obvious to me as soon as I got to THE SUBSTANCE (which is very good and very messed up!). With GHOST out of the way, that meant INCUBUS couldn't go with other supernatural/folklore terms like WITCH. A quick glance over at QUATRAIN and I had the purples figured out.

BREADCRUMB and WITCH then made the yellows clear to me. That left just four words, which all had to do with cereals, and that got me the greens.

My streak now sits at 460 wins in a row. Sorry if you aren't familiar with Demi Moore or The Brothers Grimm.

P.S. I had a different song in mind for today, but I’m gonna have to run with an Incubus track instead. “Wish You Were Here” was one of my favorite songs when I was, like, 15. It’s a perfect summer song. I listened to the album it was on, Morning View , approximately one quadrillion times.

It made me yearn for a more laidback lifestyle, dreaming of learning how to surf on the beaches of California. According to the band, it’s a song about being happy, living for the moment and sharing that with someone:
