Huawei announced five new smartwatches at its Q3 2026 launch event last week. The latest wearables are part of three different lineups and come equipped with a range of improved fitness tracking features. It includes the Huawei Watch 6 series, which is made to appeal to a wider audience, the Watch D3, which can be your companion for blood pressure monitoring, and the sporty Watch GT 7 and GT 7 Pro for fitness enthusiasts.

I wore the Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro for a week, and its premium design, long battery life, and outdoor tracking might make Apple Watch and Galaxy Watch owners jealous.

The Huawei Watch GT series has two new entrants: the Watch GT 7 and GT 7 Pro. The base model is the more “normal” looking of the two watches, while the Pro variant leans into its outdoorsy aesthetics with a premium, scratch-resistant build. It consists of a nano-tech ceramic bezel and a titanium-alloy middle frame.

Both devices can help you track indoor skiing and snowboarding metrics like distance, speed, and total descent (even without GPS). The Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro comes in a single 46mm size. At 11mm thick, alongside a wide design, it isn’t built for smaller wrists. This is a smartwatch for people with big wrists.

The new Huawei smartwatch has a 1.47-inch AMOLED display with 3,000 nits peak brightness, which offers great legibility. I could see it clearly under the bright Delhi sun without any issues. It runs Harmony OS 6.1 and is claimed to last up to 12 days of regular use or 21 days in low-power mode.

It also has a new strap with a tuck-under mechanism. I like its snug fit and comfort. It doesn’t let the watch wiggle throughout the day. This might be a minor upgrade, but it is the most noticeable and pleasing change I’ve noticed on this year’s model.

In my week of regular use (without any dedicated workout tracking), it has yet to go below 50%. I just did a cycling test, where the GT 7 Pro automatically detected my session and tracked the route via GPS. It gave me stats for heart-rate monitoring, real-time speed, as well as Route Back navigation (to trace my route back). Cycling upgrades also include climb planning, real-time climb information, and alerts for sharp turns.

The Huawei Watch GT 7 and GT 7 Pro also offer a feature called Team-Up, which groups track teammates’ real-time locations and performance metrics on the slopes (as an added safety measure). There’s also an AI Workout Analysis to give you a breakdown of training data to help you analyze and stay focused on your fitness journey.

The premium build, long battery life, bright display, and growing list of outdoor tracking features make the Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro a compelling option, especially if you don’t want to charge your watch every night.

What About The Other Huawei Watches?

The Watch D3 is Huawei’s specialist wearable for blood pressure monitoring. According to the company, it has received CE marking under the EU Medical Device Regulation. It has a lightweight design (40g) and comes in Black, White, and Mocha Gold colors.

The best part about the Huawei Watch D3 is its 25.5mm ultra-narrow airbag strap, which expands and tightens for blood pressure measurements. It has a mechanical airbag system, which supports 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, dedicated measurements before and after exercise, as well as automatic measurements at night.

Huawei’s new Watch D3 can generate a Health Glance report covering up to 11 indicators in about 60 seconds. You can also use Health Insights to see your longer-term health trends for your blood pressure data.

Lastly, Huawei’s Watch 6 is made for most people. It comes in 42mm and 46mm sizes, which are available in Black Stainless Steel and Blue Stainless Steel finishes for the 46mm model, alongside Silver Aluminum Alloy with a White strap and Gold Aluminum Alloy with a Pink strap for the 42mm variant.

In contrast, the Watch 6 Pro has 43mm and 46mm versions. You can also get the 46mm model in Space Edition and the 43mm in a gorgeous all-ceramic build. Huawei is also selling an 18K gold-accented Ceramic Edition model. Huawei offers more than 100 workout modes, eSIM-based calling, contactless payments, and Safety Check and Health features on its new Watch 6 models.
