Sebastian Fundora is one of the most interesting champions in boxing. The Towering Inferno holds the WBC super welterweight title, but he’s 6-foot-6 and pushes an all-action style you’d never suspect of him if you met him outside the boxing ring. Don’t let the youthful looks fool you, Fundora is an animal who goes into every fight looking for the KO. Fundora will defend his title against a challenger with his own story. Ermal Hadribeaj will try to dethrone the Mexican-American when the two clash on October 17. Let’s talk boxing.

Fundora vs. Hadribeaj Key Facts

Fundora vs. Hadribeaj headlines a Premier Boxing Champions card on Saturday, Oct. 17, at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The broadcast starts at 8 p.m. ET on DAZN and TNT, and it is not a pay-per-view.

The card is the fourth installment of “The Fight” series, co-promoted by Premier Boxing Champions and TGB Promotions.

Hadribeaj is Fundora’s mandatory challenger. He earned the spot with a unanimous decision over Bakary Samake on May 23 in Oberhausen, Germany.

Born in Tirana, Albania, Hadribeaj went 4-1 as a pro MMA fighter from 2016 to 2019. He holds the WBC International super welterweight title, which he has defended multiple times, and owns a 2023 TKO of former world champion Carlos Molina.

Fundora also held the WBO title until May 2025, when he was stripped for not facing mandatory challenger Xander Zayas .

Brandon Figueroa defends the WBA featherweight title against Tomoki Kameda in the co-main event. Figueroa won the belt by 12th-round TKO over Nick Ball, and Kameda is a former world champion from Japan.

Jermall Charlo returns against Koen Mazoudier in a 10-round super middleweight bout. Charlo last fought in May 2025, stopping Thomas LaManna in the sixth round.

Fundora vs. Hadribeaj Full Card

Card per Premier Boxing Champions , with records from The Ring.

Despite Hadribeaj’s late start in boxing, he has made up for it with a rise to title contention. Hadribeaj trains at the renowned BOXR gym in Miami and he is the facility’s first homegrown title contender. The 32-year-old comes in undefeated with a record of 23-0-1, but only 8 KOs. Can he deliver enough power to threaten the champion?

Fundora’s lone loss came via KO to Brian Mendoza in April 2023. Fundora got careless and paid for it, but he hasn’t found himself in that position since. In fact, he stepped in on short notice for Keith Thurman and dethroned Tim Tszyu in his very next outing.

He’s now defended a title three times including stopping Thurman and Tszyu in their rematch. This could be a war and it could round out an excellent day of boxing on October 17. That’s also the day of the heavyweight title rematch between Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley. I’ll be all over coverage of both fights. Stay tuned.
