Samsung has been testing One UI 9 on existing Galaxy phones for the last few months , but with the OS officially launching alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series on July 22nd, stable releases are now approaching fast for several devices.

Samsung has also confirmed that several Galaxy Z Fold 8 exclusive features are now rolling out to Galaxy S26 users just days after the phone’s price was slashed in a new promotion .

One UI 9 Beta 7 Is Live For Samsung Galaxy S26 Owners Right Now

Samsung has confirmed that One UI 9 beta 7 is now rolling out globally. It is an active update that S26 owners can download right now through the Samsung Members app if they're enrolled in the One UI Beta Program.

Beta 7 is a meaty update because it brings features that launched exclusively on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series to the Galaxy S26 lineup, specifically the new Finder with Google Search integration ( spotted by Tarun Vats ), My FanCam and custom cards in Now Nudge.

My FanCam lets you film a wide crowd shot and go back to spotlight a specific person in the Gallery app. Now Nudge watches what you’re doing and proactively suggests the next logical step. For example, if you’re texting someone about a meetup, it might offer to open your calendar automatically. Both launched with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 in July and now they're available on the Galaxy S26.

We'll have to see how far they'll make it down the Samsung device list, but both are available on Samsung's new mid-range Galaxy S26 FE, which is good news for other budget Galaxy users.

Samsung Is Preparing The One UI 9 Public Beta For More Galaxy Phones

For older Galaxy phone users, Samsung update tracker Tarun Vats spotted new One UI 9 beta builds for four device families: the Galaxy S25, S24, S23 and Z Fold 7 all received new ZZHL builds in the same update cycle, which means those devices are edging closer to their own beta programs.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 now has both a stable build (CZHI) and a new beta build (ZZHL), suggesting a stable One UI 9 release for last year’s flagship foldable could be close.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Stable One UI 9 Is Imminent

The Galaxy S26 series may finally get its stable release soon, too. Vats spotted a stable One UI 9 build (BZHK) for the Galaxy S26 series, which he claimed "strongly suggests Samsung has planned the next update as Stable One UI 9." That means after Beta 7, the Galaxy S26 series is almost certainly next in line for the full stable release rather than another beta build.

The Galaxy S26 FE Just Revealed Which Samsung Phones Miss Out On Gemini Intelligence

Samsung launched the Galaxy S26 FE last week and if, like me, you've been wondering what Samsung handsets will get Gemini Intelligence and its agentic skills, the newly released Galaxy S26 FE has started to answer it.

Samsung confirmed to me that the agentic capabilities of Gemini Intelligence will not be available on the Galaxy S26 FE. The phone launches with One UI 9 and Android 17, but the AI feature that books restaurants, finds documents and completes tasks on your behalf across apps is not coming to this phone.

The reason is almost certainly RAM. Google's official Gemini Intelligence requirements specify 12GB of RAM as the minimum. The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE launches with 8GB. That 4GB gap is the line between Samsung's AI flagship experience and everything below it.

The S26 FE has, however, launched with My FanCam, Horizontal Lock for stabilised video, Document Scan, and One UI 9's full suite of non-agentic AI features.

But the full automated Gemini Intelligence experience is not coming to this budget Samsung phone, and that likely means it will not come to others at this price point either.

One question still remains: will it make its way to older Samsung flagships that do have 12GB of RAM? Or is the full agentic experience being walled off for newer phones? I have repeatedly asked both Samsung and Google this, with no concrete response. But Samsung's One UI 9 rollout to older devices should tell us the answer before the end of the year.
