AEW star and former champion Benjamin Satterley, known as PAC, has sadly passed away. Just hours after competing against Andrade El Idolo last night for the AEW National Championship in the opening match at All Out, All Elite Wrestling announced PAC’s passing through its social media channels.

PAC Sadly Passes Away At age 40

“All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac,” read a post on X. “A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability. Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans.”

PAC’s cause of death is unknown as of this writing.

PAC was just 40 years old and still going strong in his physical prime. PAC gained acclaim while working his way up the international circuit during the 2000s, competing for Dragon Gate and various promotions on the British and American scene. PAC signed with WWE in 2012, where he became a top star on WWE NXT. Then known as Neville, the talented high-flyer dazzled fans with his innovative offense punctuated by his crowd-pleasing Red Arrow finisher. A former NXT champion, Neville became the face of WWE’s ill-fated cruiserweight division, where he was the only two-time WWE cruiserweight champion in history as well as the company’s longest-reigning cruiserweight champion of all time.

Neville left WWE after reportedly walking out during a taping of WWE Raw in 2017. After getting his contract issues sorted out, he joined AEW in 2019 and returned to his name of PAC. PAC enjoyed a fruitful career in Jacksonville, where he won the AEW All-Atlantic Championship (now known as the AEW International Championship) and the AEW Trios Championship alongside Penta and Rey Fenix. PAC spent his final days as a member of top AEW stable the Death Riders.

AEW has been rocked by tragedy in 2026 amid the sudden death of former AEW star Andy “The Butcher” Williams and the heartbreaking announcement of Tanea “Rebel” Brooks’ ALS diagnosis. Both were honored on AEW Dynamite’s Rebel Heart special on September 9, 2026 and AEW Collision’s tribute to Williams on September 12.

PAC was a valued member of the pro wrestling community, where his peers and fans continue to share emotional tributes.
