NYT Connections Today: Tuesday, October 6 Answers Explained

Hey there, Connectors! Welcome to my deeper dive into today’s Connections answers. The idea behind this is to help clear things up for anyone who isn’t sure how today’s groups fit together.

Today’s NYT Connections Answers Explained
Connections – Yellow Group
🟨 financial firms, for short (BERKSHIRE, CITI, GOLDMAN, MERRILL)
- BERKSHIRE Hathaway
- CITIgroup
- GOLDMAN Sachs
- MERRILL Lynch
Connections – Green Group
🟩 kinds of chairs (ADIRONDACK, EAMES, WINDSOR, WINGBACK)
An ADIRONDACK chair tilts down toward the back of the seat and has a tall back and wide armrests. It’s typically used outdoors and known as a Muskoka chair in Canada:
I loooove an EAMES chair. They’re so stylish. It’s a lounge chair made using wood and leather padding that’s often paired with a matching ottoman:
A WINDSOR chair has a solid seat with spindles slotted in to form the legs and back:
A WINGBACK chair is one that has “wings” attached to the back. These may or may not form armrests:

Connections – Red Herrings
The Berkshires, Adirondacks, Hamptons and Catskills are all regions in the north east of the U.S. All except The Hamptons are mountainous areas.
