Garmin is set to announce something big tomorrow, and you can watch the unveil live. It’s set to stream on YouTube in a new kind of reveal for the brand, and many think this marks the arrival of the Garmin Fenix 9 .

The YouTube Premiere stream will begin at 7am ET, for what Garmin is calling a “groundbreaking launch event.”

But what is it for? Garmin has left just a few clues in the teasers for this launch.

First up, there’s the tagline “your playground is calling. Now’s the time to answer.” It’s a pretty vague tease, but the accompanying image suggests it’s part of the wider running category.

We see a young man with a hydration vest running through a scenic chunk of the great outdoors, although the image is a little too low-res to make out what he is wearing on his wrist. The first assumption is, after all, that this “groundbreaking” launch is going to be an update to one the company’s higher profile watch series.

The other, not-all-that-useful, hint is seen in the YouTube page’s description, which bears the “BeatYesterday” hashtag.

“Dedicated to helping people make the most of the time they spend pursuing their passions, we believe every day is an opportunity to innovate and a chance to #BeatYesterday ," it reads

Garmin has in the past used this hashtag as part of its advertising campaigns to support its adventuring watches.

Lines in this wider family include Instinct , Enduro, Tactix, Marq and Fenix. This may be hopeful thinking, but taking a bold new approach to the launch may suggest we’re looking at the most anticipated update of the lot here, the Garmin Fenix 9.

Garmin Fenix 9: What Is Known So Far

An FCC filing for what is believed to be the Fenix 9 was spotted earlier this month, suggesting the watch is indeed heading for a release soon.

That documentation suggests mobile internet and satellite communication will both be options. A Czech retailer also briefly listed options for the watch, suggesting it will come in 43mm, 47mm and 51mm sizes.

This is a pretty standard spread, as seen in the Fenix 8 family too.

There’s still a big question mark over what’s new in the Garmin Fenix 9, then, but there may not be long to wait until all is revealed:

Garmin’s YouTube Premiere page for the announcement is already live — give it a bookmark if you want to witness the reveal as it happens. Garmin Fenix 9, or something else entirely? Place your bets.
