Swiss peripheral giant Logitech has announced the launch of the MX Keypad , a new AI control center designed specifically for multi-app, multi-agent coding that puts developers in control of their evolving workflows.

This latest launch builds on Logitech’s MX Creative Keypad—a hardware tool originally introduced to map complex shortcuts and macros to a single physical button press.

While its predecessor streamlined creative suites like Adobe Creative Cloud, this iteration of the MX Keypad has been tailored specifically for software engineers, coders, and developers working across modern AI coding tools and IDEs.

The keypad’s customizable display keys can be configured to execute prompt macros, refactor code, and trigger commands seamlessly across GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, VS Code, and IntelliJ IDEA.

Unlike single-ecosystem hardware, Logitech emphasizes that the MX Keypad offers broad cross-app compatibility with major development platforms, enabling unlimited customization tailored to individual developer workflows.

This level of versatility allows coders to unify their AI workflows, complex prompt libraries, and developer tools—maintaining a continuous, uninterrupted state of flow across their entire stack. The MX Keypad launches with a selection of pre-built plugins created and tested by developers for platforms including GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.

“Today, coding mastery depends on how easily developers can juggle an ever-increasing range of AI tools,” says Anatoliy Polyanker, VP and GM of the MX Business Unit at Logitech. “MX Keypad puts a physical control center at your fingertips, allowing you to orchestrate your AI workflows faster and more intuitively.”

Microsoft GitHub Partnership

Developed in close collaboration with GitHub, the Logitech MX Keypad launches with native integration for GitHub ecosystem tools, including VS Code and the GitHub Copilot app, with ongoing plans to expand functionality over time. Every MX Keypad includes three complimentary months of GitHub Copilot, redeemable via the Logi Options+ app for both new and existing subscribers.

“Great developer tools get out of your way,” says Martin Woodward, VP of Developer Relations at GitHub. “MX Keypad makes working with GitHub Copilot feel like a natural part of the workflow, so developers can spend less time navigating tools and more time building.”

SDK & Community Marketplace

The Logi Actions SDK lets software engineers build custom tools quickly. With AI-friendly documentation, coding agents can generate custom integrations directly from the SDK, turning complex tasks into a simple afternoon project.

The Logi Actions community has already published plugins for Claude Code and OpenAI Codex to the Logi Marketplace, giving developers real-time agent status tracking and CLI control right on the physical keys, enabling use with over 100 million compatible Logitech devices.

The MX Keypad is manufactured using certified post-consumer recycled plastic. The graphite model is 64% recycled material and the pale grey version contains 49%. The product’s paper packaging is sourced from FSC-certified forests and other controlled sources.

Logitech is on a mission to reduce the environmental impact of its products. Considering how many millions of products Logitech ships annually, that can add up to considerable environmental savings.
