Swiss technology company Logitech has announced a new keyboard and two mice as part of its Signature Comfort Plus Series of peripherals. The new product range includes a full-sized keyboard and two mice that have been specially designed for those of us who spend long hours toiling away in front of a computer, a common scenario in this age of hybrid working.

The new Logitech comfort range aims to reduce the friction points created when switching tasks across multiple devices, such as a computer, smartphone and tablet. Logitech says its Signature Comfort Plus Series can make working life just a little bit smoother thanks to enhanced levels of comfort, quieter operation and the option to customize.

The new products include the Signature Comfort Plus M850 L mouse , a two-button rodent with a scroll wheel, a third button and a couple of side switches for making browsing a bit faster. The mouse has a soft pad that helps to cushion the user’s palm, making the mouse more comfortable to use over long periods.

The Signature Comfort Plus Series also includes Logitech’s new MK880 keyboard , a full-sized membrane-style device that includes a numeric keypad and a row of customizable function keys. The MK880 keyboard combo also comes with the new M850 L mouse and, for those who don’t want the palm cushion, there is the new M840 L model, which is essentially the same but without the padded area.

“People now spend long, full days at their desks, constantly moving between tasks, screens, and personal moments,” says Art O’Gnimh, general manager of the mice and keyboard solutions group at Logitech. “These are tools that don’t ask for attention; they give it back, removing small distractions and adding comfort so everything feels smoother and more effortless.”

The Logitech M850 L mouse is the first of its type to include a soft and padded area that functions as a palm cushion. As well as the cushioned area, the new mouse features a sculpted, right-hand shape with integrated rubber side grips to give it a softer and more relaxed feel, especially if used for long periods.

The new mouse was developed to ease long working days spent in front of a computer, whether working at the office or at home. The new MK880 Combo keyboard has deep-cushioned keys, a dual-foam palm rest, as well as gently curving typing angles designed to make lengthy typing sessions a little less tiring.

Together, the two new mice and keyboard provide extra support and promote a more natural and comfortable hand position. The mice buttons have quiet clicks and, like the keyboard, they support Easy-Switch, Logitech’s quick and easy way of switching between up to three different Bluetooth devices, such as a macOS and Windows PC or a tablet.

To customize both the keyboard and the two mice, Logitech has developed its Logi Options+ software, which can set up customized shortcuts for a range of different applications and tasks. Many of the shortcuts are already programmed into the software, including meeting controls for Zoom and Microsoft Teams. The keyboard also has special keys for launching AI services such as Copilot, ChatGPT or Google Gemini.

The entire Signature Comfort Plus Series can be deployed to hundreds of employees, which makes it suitable for larger businesses with IT departments that have to manage hundreds of devices. For this market, Logitech developed the Signature Comfort Plus Series for Business, which not only provides employees with a more comfortable keyboard and mouse but also offers a more secure and robust wireless connection and simplified product management.

The enterprise versions of the Signature Comfort Plus Series come with a Logi Bolt USB-C receiver, a small wireless dongle that provides more secure wireless connectivity than Bluetooth and a more robust signal, which can be useful in high-density environments like an open plan office or call center where lots of keyboards and mice are vying for limited space on the wireless spectrum.

The mice and keyboard in the Signature Comfort Plus Series for Business can be monitored by an IT department via Logitech’s Sync software. This gives IT teams a centralized dashboard to remotely manage deployed mice and keyboards, plus it can check on the firmware status of devices and apply any updates, if necessary.

Other features with the new products include multi-OS compatibility, quieter key clicks and button presses, as well as a range of customizable controls designed to boost employee productivity without adding layers of IT complexity. Logitech Sync provides a secure and scalable way to manage a fleet of Logitech mice and keyboards in multiple locations.

Designed For Sustainability

The entire Logitech Signature Comfort Plus Series has been developed under “Design for Sustainability” principles. For example, the plastic materials used to make the mice and keyboard contain between 49% and 77% of certified post-consumer recycled plastic, depending on the color.

Logitech says its approach to sustainability can help to enhance circularity while also lowering a product’s carbon footprint. All the products in the range are shipped in FSC-certified paper packaging and offer a long battery life, extending the frequency of battery changes to a matter of years.

While green credentials are often paid lip service to by business, for larger companies with hundreds or even thousands of employees — each using a computer, keyboard and mouse — sustainable office products like the new Logitech Signature Comfort Plus Series can have a positive impact on a company’s ESG ratings.
