The JBL Cinema SB MK2 soundbar series has been unveiled, and it’s designed to transform TV audio. For the first time, JBL soundbars can now connect wirelessly to compatible JBL portable speakers to work as rear surrounds, delivering surround sound at the touch of a button.

Featuring four new models, the range aims to combine clear dialogue and powerful bass in a sustainable design. The JBL Cinema SB MK2 series offers options across various price points, each designed to deliver clear dialogue during complex action scenes and bass-heavy sequences thanks to a dedicated center channel. Dolby Atmos sound is also available in just a few steps with simple connectivity.

More than a standard Bluetooth-powered soundbar, the series uses JBL’s proprietary SurroundPlay technology, which can pair compatible JBL portable speakers to create an immersive movie theater setup. With the touch of a button, portable speakers can connect and become rear surround channels.

Setting Bar For Sustainability

For shipping, the new soundbars fold into a compact U-shape, creating a more uniform package alongside the subwoofer. The result is a reduction in packaging by up to 20%, making the system easier to transport and helping lower its carbon footprint.

Leading the new soundbar range is the SB595MK2 with its 440W of power output and a wireless 6.5-inch subwoofer. It’s designed to transform movies, TV shows, and music into an immersive entertainment experience. The soundbar features two up-firing drivers for True Dolby Atmos.

The JBL SB580MK2 offers 440W of power output with a wireless 6.5-inch subwoofer, utilizing Dolby Atmos to provide immersive sound. For everyday TV viewing, the JBL SB550MK2 outputs 360W and comes with a 5.25-inch wireless subwoofer amd Dolby Audio.

Finally, the JBL SB510MK2 is the entry-level model for upgrading internal speakers and is an easy way to enhance a TV’s sound with 200W of output from an all-in-one design and a built-in subwoofer and Dolby Audio.
