How To Turn Existing Content Into Fast Sales Without Posting More
You can make your next sale from content you have already published. The posts are out there. So are the people reading them. There are more of them than your likes suggest, and plenty would buy from you if buying were easy. Your job is to make it easy.
I founded a social media agency at 22 and sold it in 2021. I spent ten years building brands and businesses with careful content strategies. Creating more content takes a long time. And without a plan, your sales don’t move.
The people already reading your posts are the shortest route to your next client. You have clients who got results and followers who have watched you for months. What those followers lack is an easy way to get closer, then buy. Here are five changes that turn the attention you have into sales, without writing a single new post.
How to make more sales from the content you already have
Get the people already watching onto your list
Somebody has read your posts for months without liking one. For every like you see, at least 20 people look and say nothing. They go down a rabbit hole of your content, then get in touch three months later, and you had no idea they were there. Every one of them is a possible client. The platform knows who they are, and you have no way to contact them.
Every piece of content needs a call to action, and the call to action is to join your mailing list. Give those silent readers something useful in exchange for their email address. A lead magnet, a newsletter, or the AI version of you all work. I wrote the AI-Powered Coaching Business Playbook and used it to capture email addresses. Once a reader is on your list, you can email them whenever you choose.
Put one free offer on the posts you already have
Rhys Morgan helps neurodivergent adults make work easier for their brain. He posts Instagram videos every day, and around 240,000 people follow him. Free scripts turn those followers into an email list. He sells digital products, guides from $10 to $30, and could fill one-to-one spaces whenever he wants.
Your back catalog can do the same job with one change. One link. Add your free offer to your profile and to the posts that performed best. Anyone who finds an old post now has a next step. Every reader who signs up is somebody you can sell to later. Old posts start collecting emails.
Tell your list how many spaces you have
The experts with waiting lists send one email when they want clients. It says how many spaces are open and invites a reply. One email. When you invite hand raises, people move fast. The people replying have spent months with your content, and the sale can happen without a call.
A limited number of spaces gives your reader a reason to act today. It tells somebody who has read your emails for months that the door is open now and closes when spaces go. Share the limit honestly, and only when it is true. You can still vet every person, with a set of questions they answer or a process somebody else looks after.
Send followers to a booking page packed with social proof
A stranger clicks the link on your LinkedIn profile, opens your booking page and hesitates. The page asks for their time and gives them nothing to believe. But your happiest clients have already said why they hired you. So collect their stories and make them public. Social proof only works when people see it.
Write your best client results into short case studies. Specific, with the result. Put them on your booking page, next to the button that books the call. Then link that page from your profile and your pinned posts. Every follower who is ready to talk goes straight to it. The proof already exists.
Let them decide before the call
Jim Harshaw, Jr. coaches athletic-minded, high-performing men, and his discovery call page opens with a Loom video of him. Then his story. He was an NCAA Division I All-American wrestler and a head coach, and he is a TEDx speaker and podcast host. The page goes on to who he helps, what his 8-week program gives them and around 20 client stories with results.
People read that page and decide whether Jim is for them before they book a call. The ones who book turn up ready. Nobody on that call asks what they get or how he justifies the price. On the call he sells group plus one-to-one coaching, with $1,000 off for signing on the call. Build that page once. Every call after it starts closer to yes.
Make more sales from the content you have already published
Your next client has already read your posts. The content did its job the day you published it. The sales are waiting in what happens after the post, on your list and on your booking page. Send the email this week and give them a number. Put your old content to work and make more of everything else you produce.
