HORI’s Flight Stick For ‘Ace Combat 8’ Looks Entirely Epic
With Ace Combat 8 out in a few weeks, it seems that HORI has delivered an entirely epic flight stick for the game that not only works on PlayStation but also on PC.
Specifically, the stick supports PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, which means in theory you can also use it on Ace Combat 7 .
Unlike the previous HORI setup for Ace Combat 7 , this is all one unit and is also ambidextrous in terms of its throttle and brake layout.
You also get customizable macro buttons and a dedicated High-G button, which is actually quite handy.
The stick also uses “magnetic contactless sensors provide smooth, accurate input and long‑lasting durability”, which sounds like it has Hall-effect sensors . Although why they didn’t just say that is a bit odd.
You also have some funky LED lighting on the side panels, and it even supports twin-stick setups if you buy more than one.
As this is an official peripheral for Ace Combat 8 , there are also some nice Wings of Theve elements across the stick, and that is something I am entirely supportive of.
Released the same day as the game on October 2, the price point is also decent, coming in at $129.99. It’s already available on Amazon for pre-order, too.
So if you want a proper flight stick for arguably one of the best upcoming flight combat games, then HORI most certainly has you covered.
Ace Combat 8 is released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 2.
