Bungie stunned the gaming world on Monday when it announced that three months after what was meant to be its final update, Destiny would be resurrected in a few different ways, including a longer-term plan for its future.

The closest thing happening as a result of this revival is the unvaulting of all Destiny 2 content, at least its expansions and their campaigns. Given how much was shelved, it may be time for a reminder about what that actually contains, though there are some things that have yet to be confirmed. But here’s what is:

I’ve had some people ask if this unvaulting will contain seasons, but there are at least 25 seasons. Those were technically not “vaulted.” They were just part of regular live service rotation, and it’s going to be crazy enough to get all this other stuff back in the game given size and technical constraints. So no, though it’s too bad about the missing story links every year.

What was not said explicitly was if every Destiny 2 strike and Crucible map attached to this era is returning. The assumption could be yes, but that has not been said explicitly yet. (I’m trying to find out more.) But here’s a refresher on what was and still is vaulted. If I got any of these wrong or am missing any, let me know.

There are also questions about activities like Escalation Protocol on Mars, a key activity in the Warmind expansion. I can’t remember if you ever had to do it for the campaign storyline, but if so, it would have to be.

More information will roll out in time about all this, but it stands to reason that the vast majority of this will return. We also do not know things like whether or not old activities/raids will give out Tier-based, updated gear, though many are assuming it will given that Tiered gear is pretty much everywhere else in the game now. But we’ll see. This is a big project, and there are more big projects to come. Adding some more stuff could happen over time, or not at all.
