Google Teases Pixel 11 ‘Special Offer’ Before Imminent Sale
After repeated iPhone 17 price drops , Samsung discounting the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and releasing a cheaper version of the Galaxy S26 Ultra , it’s Google’s turn to drop the Pixel 11’s price.
The company is teasing a birthday “special offer” on September 24th for its 28th birthday. This typically means discounts for several of its devices and, considering the iPhone 18 just launched, a perfect opportunity to competitively drop the Pixel 11’s price.

Pixel 11 discount? What The History Shows About Google’s Birthday Offers
In 2020, Google announced a surprise 24-hour birthday sale event with major discounts across Nest and Stadia products, timed to its birthday. In 2021, Google offered Pixel 6 and Nest Hub discounts before the Pixel 6’s release date . No you didn’t read that wrong, Google discounted a phone before it even launched in the pre-RAM crisis days. Good times.
Then, in 2024, Google ran a 20% off voucher promotion on Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel Tablet around the same period.
Why This Year’s Pixel 11 Sale Could Be Bigger Than Usual
Apple’s iPhone 18 just landed and the Android competition almost always try to steal some of that limelight with lower prices. So I expect we will see a discount for the Pixel 11 to contrast against the high-priced iPhone 18.
But, more importantly, Apple has launched it’s first ever foldable phone. Google isn’t an OG in the foldable space, but it has released three foldable phones in the last three years so it has that on Apple at least. Expect heavier discounts for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold this year.
What To Expect From September’s Pixel 11 Sale
The Pixel 11 has already seen decent discounts. The base Pixel 11 launched with voucher codes worth up to $250, Play Store Points promotions worth up to $175, and a U.K. guaranteed trade-in minimum of £400 for any eligible phone. Google clearly wants to move Pixel 11 units aggressively this year. A birthday sale is the right time to push a bit further.
Based on previous years, a Google birthday promotion typically offers 15-20% off Pixel 11 hardware, occasionally extending to Pixel Buds, Pixel Watch and Nest devices. I expect we’ll also see enhanced trade-in prices again with freebies or heavily discounted wearables thrown in with select phone purchases. Hopefully it’s not just a free keyring again.
There is, of course, no guarantee that Google will slash the price of the Pixel 11. The wearables, Nest products and everything in between may see a price drop instead. But, if you’re planning to buy Google’s current flagship phone, it’s worth waiting to see what the company has on offer. Also, Google is urging people to sign up for its marketing emails to get details of the “special offer.” In previous Google deals signing up meant getting a voucher that triggers a discount, so it’s worth doing, if only temporarily.
