Battlestate Games has revealed the Escape From Tarkov roadmap for the rest of 2026, and it reveals that five major updates are planned before the end of the year, with some massive new content included.

The Tarkov roadmap was posted earlier today on social media, and it made some big announcements when it comes to what content is planned for Escape From Tarkov for the rest of the year. Five major updates are planned, each of which will bring at least one massive change to the game, and the first is due in just a few weeks.

First up is update 1.1.5.0, which is set to arrive in September, with speculation suggesting an appearance closer to the start of the month is likely. This update will be surprisingly large considering the last major patch was just a few weeks back, and is set to include the highly anticipated rework of the Lighthouse map, and the Lightkeeper task chain.

Next up is update 1.2.0.0, which is due around the end of September or early October, further giving credibility to the thought that the Lighthouse update will arrive in early to mid September. The 1.2.0.0 update is primarily focused on the PvE game mode, with updates to the bot spawn system and AI behaviour. It will also introduce the prestige mode for PvE players, and improve the raid reconnection system for everyone.

The rest of October is due to bring two more updates, both big in their own way, but with fewer concrete details right now. The first brings a massive engine upgrade as Tarkov moves to Unity 6, and brings updated vegetation along with performance enhancements. The second promises a Halloween event, and given a small biohazard tease, it could signal the return of zombies to Tarkov .

Rounding out the year is the big 1.4.0.0 update, which is due to arrive in December and will bring the launch of Season 2. That will also bring a new location, called End of the Line, which also includes a new boss called Povodyr. This seems like a return to the normal wipe schedule Tarkov has traditionally had, with a big summer update and another around the holiday period.

As always, there’s a solid chance some dates and features will move around on the Escape From Tarkov roadmap, development is, after all, challenging at the best of times. But providing this schedule sticks reasonably close to this plan, it looks like Tarkov players will be eating well for the rest of the year. New content , a new engine and visuals and what should be a return of one of the best events of all time is a solid way to end 2026, and there will likely be a few extra surprises along the way as well.
