Bandai Spirits Unveils New Ghost In The Shell Figures For January Release
Following the news that Bandai Spirits will be handling toys for the current Ghost in the Shell series , we now have some price points and a January release date.
The big reveal is that, yes, the Fuchikoma will be able to hold the Major in its cockpit at the rear. This means the Fuchikoma will be quite sizable, which explains the increased price point.
Anyway, the Robot Damashii Fuchikoma will cost 16,500 yen (or around $105 at the current exchange rate) and will come with a variety of accessories, such as various faceplate changes and extra arms.
It looks like the stand included is optional, as some shots have the Fuchikoma standing on its own just fine without it.
As for the S.H.Figuarts version of the Major , that will be priced at 9,900 yen (or around $63 at the current exchange rate) and will also include various facial expressions, such as some of the more fun and goofy ones.
For me, the fact that we are getting a proper Fuchikoma toy and one that will have the Major sit in its cockpit is sort of surreal.
Back in the 90s, the only option fans had was very delicate and expensive garage kits made from resin. So to have an actual articulated toy, and one that looks incredibly faithful to the original design from the manga, is genuinely wonderful.
Pre-orders will start on August 3, and you should be able to pick both of these up from places such as HobbyLink Japan .
The Ghost in the Shell is available to watch via Amazon Prime Video .
