Apple has had a big success with its Cosmic Orange iPhone 17 Pro. But if you thought that meant it would carry it over to the iPhone 18 Pro, think again. A new leak reports on what the next iPhones will look like and refines the predictions for the color range.

The Dark Cherry Hero Color May Be A Triple Blend

A recent report claimed that the new hero color would be a dark cherry shade — full details here . Now, a new report on Weibo by regular leaker Instant Digital has subtly new information.

Where it had been previously reported that the iPhone 18 Pro would come in colors including deep red, dark brown and purple, Instant Digital has a new take, saying that those three shades are all mixed into one.

“Apple has created a color for the iPhone 18 Pro that's a mix of burgundy, coffee, and a slightly deep purple... I'm really curious to see how it will be named,” they said.

The same leaker previously reported on the yellow version of the iPhone 14, so it may be that color information is their forte.

The Rest Of The Palette: Silver, Blue, and Gray

Of course, there will be other options, though it’s not yet clear what they will be. Some reports claim there will be four colors, others only three. There are three in the iPhone 17 Pro range, though Apple has been known to launch four colors in its Pro range before, or to add a fourth later in the year.

This new leak follows a report in Macworld last week of four options: dark red — the new shade mentioned in the new leak — as well as light blue, dark gray and silver.

Even if there are four colors, only three are likely to be new: silver is in the current range, so that’s likely to stay. Macworld also insisted that the current dark blue version would not be carried forward. In which case, light blue seems like a possible replacement.

It’s now less than six months until the release of the next iPhones, expected in September. It’s thought the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will be unveiled then alongside the first folding iPhone, possibly called the iPhone Ultra.
