Amazon has just announced a whole new series of Kindles. Usually, Amazon updates one or two models at a time, but today’s reveal is for a new Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Colorsoft models, plus new accessories you never knew you needed. For ebook reader fans, this is a big day. Here’s all you need to know.

Amazon’s Redesigned Range: Kindle

The entry-level Kindle remains the most portable of the range, and in fact is now lighter than before. Where the previous model weighed just 158g, already one of the lightest ebook readers around, it’s now 140g and smaller than before. It’s now 6.85mm thick. And for the first time, it has a flush front instead of a recessed display. It still has 16GB of storage and a six-inch 300ppi display and costs $149.99, £134.99 in the U.K.

It comes in two colors, ube, which is a light lavender or graphite, which is sort of black. Want something fancier? There’s now a model with an aluminum back, which costs $189.99 (£169.99 in the U.K.) and comes in two colors, seaglass green and alpine green. It has 32GB storage.

Amazon’s Redesigned Range: Kindle Paperwhite

The thinner and lighter theme continues with the Paperwhite. This is the model that has boasted a flush front screen for years, as well as waterproofing and a larger, 7-inch display.

It costs from $199.99 (£184.99) with 16GB storage or $249.99 (£229.99) in the Signature Edition with 32GB and an aluminum design. The Paperwhite has double the battery life of the regular Kindle, 12 weeks instead of 6 weeks. The regular Paperwhite comes in graphite, the Signature Edition in graphite and seaglass green.

Amazon’s Redesigned Range: Kindle Colorsoft

The newest of the seven-inch models has been updated as well. It now promises to have color that is more paper-like and it’s, you guessed it, thinner and lighter than before. It costs $289.99 or £259.99 in the U.K. in graphite shade. There’s a Signature Edition here as well, for $319.99, in graphite and fig finishes. It’s not set for the U.K. yet.

All models are available for pre-order now, and some will be delivered in a matter of days, while others follow shortly.

Amazon’s Redesigned Range: Accessories

If you’ve never used a page turner with an ebook reader, you’ve been missing out. It’s helpful to save you reaching out to tap the display whether you’re lolling on a beach bed or killing it on a treadmill. The Boox Tappy is an adorable example of the range. But until now, there was no option from Amazon.

Today, Amazon has announced the Kindle Click ($34.99 or £31.99 in the U.K.). With one press you can turn a page or adjust brightness, or even turn the Kindle off.

There’s also the Kindle Page Turn Cover. If you mourn the passing of the physical page-turn buttons that adorned the Kindle Oasis, you can get the next best thing with this cover, which costs $79.99 or £74.99 in the U.K.
