5 ChatGPT Prompts To Nail Positioning And Play Business On Easy Mode
You are harder to buy from than you think. You explain what you do on every call, and you still get asked what the price includes. People who know less than you fill their spaces faster. What if your dream clients arrived already sold, and the call was a formality?
Play business on easy mode with the help of ChatGPT when you become the person your dream clients go looking for. I founded Coachvox to build AI versions of coaches and consultants, and when I asked a room of them how easily their dream clients find them, most scored themselves 3 out of 10. That score is common, and a few tweaks can change it. Copy and paste into ChatGPT and keep the same chat window open so the context carries through.
Nail your positioning with ChatGPT and make business easier
Pick the one person you help best
You wrote a headline that tries to speak to everyone who could buy. But it resonates with no one in particular. A dream client is one person, with a role, and a moment when they need you. I help newly promoted executives succeed in their first 90 days. That person reads your headline and feels caught. Emma Storey Gordon swapped “fat loss coach for women” for “I help women who feel like they’ve been dieting their whole lives” and transformed her business. First, use this prompt to go deeper:
“Based on what you know about me and my business, describe the one person I help best. Include their role, their situation, the moment they realize they need someone like me, and the words they use to describe the problem when they talk to a friend. Give me 3 versions, each one more specific than the last, and tell me which one a stranger would recognize themselves in fastest. Ask for more detail if required.”
Write the result in their words
Your dream client lies awake thinking about the promotion they missed and the team that ignores them. That is the language they search in. Words like coaching and transformation describe your process and hide the result. So write the result. What does your best client have 90 days after starting with you? Put it in a sentence. Their words, with a timeframe. You’ll need this for your content.
“Based on what you know about my dream client, write 5 sentences that describe the result I get them, using the words they would use to describe it to a friend. Each sentence must include a specific outcome and a timeframe, and must avoid the words coaching, support, empowerment and transformation. Rank them by how quickly my dream client would read one and say yes, that is what I want.”
Say the same sentence everywhere
A stranger checks your LinkedIn headline, then your website, then your booking page. Three pages, three different stories. They leave unsure what you do, and unsure people don’t book. Pick the sentence that describes your dream client and their result, then put it in every place a stranger can find you. Repetition feels boring to you long before anybody else notices it. Somebody who reads three of your pages should be able to repeat back what you do.
“Based on what you know about me, my dream client and the result I get them, write the one sentence that describes what I do. Then rewrite it for my LinkedIn headline, the opening of my LinkedIn About section, my website homepage, my social media bios, my booking page and the welcome message on the AI version of me, built with Coachvox. Keep the meaning identical in every version, so a stranger who sees three of them could repeat what I do.”
Make buying from you obvious
Somebody reads your post, likes it and goes looking for the next step. They find four ways to get in touch and no idea which one is for them. Gone. Confused buyers don’t buy. One clear route takes a stranger from hearing your name to booking a call, with enough on the way to decide you are the right person. The call becomes a formality. Every page makes the next step obvious.
“Based on what you know about my business, map the route a stranger takes from first hearing my name to booking a call already sold on working with me. Include where they find me, what they read, watch or listen to, what they learn about my method, where the AI version of me, built with Coachvox, answers their questions, and what they see on the booking page. Show me every place the route breaks or splits, and rewrite the call to action on each page so there is one obvious next step. Ask for more detail if required.”
Talk like someone clients look for
You offer a free session to anyone who asks. Discounts in the headline, apologies in the About section. Every line sounds like somebody who needs clients, and your dream client picks that up in seconds. You have the experience and the knowledge already. A pro bono client takes as much effort to win as a paid one, and the paid one shows up committed. Talk like the person people go looking for.
“Based on what you know about me and my business, review the way I describe myself and my offer across my headline, About section, website, posts and messages. Find every phrase that sounds like I need clients, including free sessions offered to anyone, discounts, apologetic phrasing and invitations to DM me if someone needs help. Rewrite each one so it sounds like an expert with a waiting list, and give me 5 lines I can use when I announce that I have spaces available. Ask for more detail if required.”
