At IFA Berlin 2026, I went hands-on with an AI wearable that can double as your desktop robot companion. The iKairos is a modular AI pendant, which can sit at your desk as well as hang around your neck. It is made by a Singapore-based company called Lingverse, and aims to be your go-to product for journaling about “daily reflections and meaningful memories.”

You can wear the iKairos as a pendant or place it on a tabletop dock (which also has a speaker). And when you’re on and about, you can pop it out of the body and wear it around your neck as a pendant. The iKairos is being promoted as a “dual-perspective wearable,” so you can shift its gaze, allowing it to see either the world outside or focus on you.

It has a camera built under the screen. You can slide it up to see the lens, which allows the wearable to capture contextual data about your environment. It runs on Lingverse’s AI operating system, LifeOS, which can use this data to surface relevant suggestions.

During my hands-on with the app, it surfaced an “iKairos noticed” notification: “Today’s strongest pattern was the need to make things explicit: turning visual changes into a statement, and turning an invitation into a decision.” This isn’t exactly helpful to me as a third party, but I believe it could be simplified to convey things more clearly.

According to Lingverse, iKairos comes with software and hardware privacy protections. You get a physical camera shutter, a privacy indicator light, and a manual mute button.

The company also claims that all data is encrypted and that it won’t be used to train its AI models. A Lingverse representative also told me that some features will be behind a paywall after you run out of the six-month free subscription. However, the basic features will remain free. We don’t have a price yet, but you can join a waitlist on the Lingverse website if you are interested in wearing an AI pendant.
