Halle Berry Partners With Joylux To Launch ‘Juicy Like A Peach’ To Ease Menopause Symptoms
Joylux, in partnership with Respin founder, Academy Award-winning actor, filmmaker, entrepreneur, and advocate Halle Berry, recently announced the launch of Juicy Like a Peach , an FDA-cleared vaginal dryness treatment that introduces proprietary HPMC-5 technology to women’s intimate health in the United States for the first time. Long trusted in pharmaceutical applications to protect delicate tissues, HPMC-5 powers a fundamentally new approach to relieving vaginal dryness by creating a breathable moisture-retention barrier that helps maintain comfort, reduce dryness, and relieve painful sex.
Vaginal dryness affects millions of women during perimenopause, menopause, and beyond, yet innovation in the category has remained limited. Symptoms can impact comfort, confidence, intimacy, and overall quality of life, leaving many women searching for solutions. Unlike conventional vaginal moisturizers that primarily sit on the tissue surface, Juicy Like a Peach forms a lightweight, breathable layer designed to help retain moisture where women need it most. Inspired by technologies used to support delicate tissues elsewhere in the body, the treatment helps promote lasting moisture and comfort with consistent use and can be used alone or alongside vaginal estrogen, hormone replacement therapy, and other intimate wellness routines.
“For decades, women have been expected to manage vaginal dryness with products that haven't meaningfully evolved," said Colette Courtion, founder and CEO of Joylux. "When we discovered the potential of HPMC-5, we saw an opportunity to bring proven science from other areas of healthcare into women's intimate health. That's exactly the kind of innovation women deserve, not incremental improvements, but entirely new approaches that address real unmet needs. At Joylux, we've always believed women need more options, not fewer, and Juicy Like a Peach represents another important tool for helping women care for their bodies on their own terms."
During our interview, Courtion shared how this new product launch aligns with Joylux’s mission. “Joylux was born from a simple belief: women deserve better. I saw millions of women struggling with menopause symptoms that impacted their confidence, relationships, and quality of life, yet the message was too often, "just live with it." That isn't good enough,” she shared. “From day one, our mission has been to bring real innovation to women's intimate health. Juicy Like a Peach is exactly that. Vaginal dryness is incredibly common, yet the category has seen very little meaningful innovation. We wanted to rethink what a vaginal moisturizer could be with an entirely new moisture technology that helps create a protective barrier for lasting moisture. Women shouldn't have to accept painful sex as part of aging. They deserve options that help them feel like themselves again.”
Vaginal dryness remains one of the most common but least openly discussed menopause symptoms. I asked Courtion why she believes innovation and honest conversation in this space have lagged behind other areas of women’s health. “For too long, women’s intimate health wasn't seen as a priority. Menopause was treated as something women should quietly endure instead of a life stage worthy of innovation, investment, and conversation. If no one is talking about a problem, no one is solving it. That's exactly what happened with vaginal health. The good news is we're at a turning point. Women are demanding better information and better solutions, and the conversation is finally catching up. Our goal is to help remove the stigma so women know these symptoms are common, manageable, and nothing to be embarrassed about. When we normalize the conversation, we create space for innovation,” she shared.
Regarding Joylux’s partnership with Berry, she says the award-winning actress has helped bring menopause out of the shadows. “Halle talks about it (menopause) with honesty, confidence, and authenticity, and that gives other women permission to do the same. What makes this partnership work is that we share the same mission. We both believe women deserve better information, more choices, and solutions they can trust. Halle has an extraordinary ability to make women feel seen, and that opens the door to conversations many have avoided for years. When women hear someone they admire speak openly about vaginal dryness, intimacy, and menopause without embarrassment, it helps remove the stigma. And once that stigma starts to disappear, women are far more likely to seek answers, talk with their healthcare provider, and realize they have options,” she said. “Halle’s voice doesn't just raise awareness. It gives women permission to start the conversation. And once that happens, they're far more likely to seek answers, talk to their healthcare provider, and realize they have options. That's how you change women's health.”
Berry says the lack of knowledge surrounding menopause inspired her to speak up. “When I first started going through perimenopause, I remember thinking, 'How can every woman go through this and yet so few of us know what to expect?’ I was shocked by how little I knew about menopause before I experienced it myself, and by how difficult it was to get straightforward answers. It made me realize just how many gaps still exist in the way we educate and care for women during this stage of life. Once I began speaking about it publicly, it became clear I wasn’t the only one asking those questions,” she stated. “That's why I've been so committed to talking about menopause openly. The more we normalize these conversations, the easier it becomes for women to recognize what's happening in their own bodies, ask questions, and find the support they need.”
Berry said she would love to see this conversation move beyond awareness. “Awareness is important, but women also need solutions. That's why I'm excited about Juicy Like a Peach. It's addressing one of the most common menopause symptoms with a completely new approach, and I hope that's a sign of where women's health is headed,” she told me.
The launch of Juicy Like a Peach with Joylux felt authentic to her advocacy, because founder Colette Courtion and she have shared the same belief from the beginning: women deserve better when it comes to intimate health. “Firstly, I wanted to help myself because I was suffering with dryness and painful sex. Let's Spin was our first collaboration, and I loved that it helped women feel more confident and supported in their intimate lives. Juicy Like a Peach builds on that by giving women another option for managing vaginal dryness, one that's designed for daily moisture,” she stated.
The treatment introduces HPMC-5 technology to women's intimate health in the U.S. for the first time. From Berry’s conversations with medical experts and the Joylux team, what excited her the most about this innovation was learning that this wasn't about reinventing something that already existed. “Through my conversations with Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sarah de la Torre and the Joylux team, I learned that HPMC-5 has been used in other areas of healthcare for years to help protect delicate tissues. The question became, ‘Why aren't we using this kind of technology to help women too?’ That really resonated with me,” she said.
“The way I like to think about Juicy Like a Peach is as an everyday moisturizer. It's hormone-free, FDA-cleared, and designed to create a moisture barrier that helps maintain moisture over time, so it's supporting you every day, not just in the moment. To me, that's what makes this product so exciting. It's taking proven science and applying it in a new way to address something millions of women experience every day. That's exactly the kind of innovation I'd love to see more of in women's health,” Berry shared.
Berry, a known advocate for menopause awareness, has heard from countless women about their struggles, which changed the way she’s thought about the importance of giving women more treatment options and better information. “Absolutely. The biggest thing I’ve learned is that there isn't one menopause story. Every woman experiences it differently, so there will never be a single solution that's right for everyone. That's why I think it's so important that we keep expanding the conversation and the toolkit. Some women choose hormone therapy. Some don't. Some are looking for support with intimacy, while others want help managing everyday vaginal dryness. Products like Juicy Like a Peach give women another option to discuss with their healthcare provider so they can find what works best for them,” she said.
Now that Juicy Like a Peach has launched, she hopes women feel empowered to speak openly with their healthcare providers about menopause symptoms. “I hope women realize they don't have to settle. If something doesn't feel right, ask questions. Talk to your healthcare provider. Learn about the options that are available, whether that's Juicy Like a Peach, joining a platform like Respin Health, hormone therapy, or another approach that's right for you,” she said. “Most importantly, I hope women leave this conversation feeling hopeful. Menopause isn't the end of anything. It's simply another stage of life, and it can be your best one. Women deserve the same innovation, care, and attention at this stage as they do at every other.”
